Rental Policies
Payment - Full payment is required prior to departure. Credit and Debit will be supported. a preauthorization is required prior to full day departures for the cost of Boat, PFDs and Paddles.
Renters - must have liability waiver signed and present a valid government issued photo ID during check in. they must wait for equipment inspection before they depart and when they return.
Safety Instructions - PFDs are mandatory at all times and will be provided, alcoholic beverages or cannabis are prohibited on all boats. they’ll be safety guidelines to follow that will be given at the time of departure.
Late returns - late returns will round up to the next hour plus 50%. you will be called 15 minutes before you need to return.
Be Safe - do not attempt to recover any lost equipment. never stay on the water during a lightning storm. as soon as you hear thunder or see lightning return to shore and call Wolastoq Cycling & Repair to be recovered. (The recovery fee will be waived)
When on Site - Aggressive, dismissive, and neglectful behavior will not be tolerated. Having fun is second to Safety. Do as the guides and rental associates tell you.
Pack-It-In Pack-It-Out - Littering is zero tolerance. if you are found littering and using our equipment you will be asked to return it and a refund will be void.
These waterways and rivers were used by The Wolastoqiyik for generations to maintain their way of life.
Kayak Rental Agreement - Waiver and Release of Liability
Assumption of Risk: I understand and accept that renting this kayak and participating in kayaking exposes me to many hazards and entails unavoidable risk of death, personal injury (including but not limited to drowning or bodily injury) and loss of or damage to property. I also understand I should be in good physical health to participate in kayaking. I choose to participate in kayaking in spite of these risks and hereby assume all risk of injury or loss of life to myself and loss of or damage to property arising out of renting this kayak and participating in kayaking. I understand the inherent risk involved in using this equipment; accept full responsibility for any and all such damage or injury which may result.
Waiver and Release: In consideration of Wolastoq Cycling & Repair renting me this kayak, I specifically release and forever discharge Wolastoq Cycling & Repair and its officers, agents, and employees from any and all liability or claims for injury, illness, death or loss of or damage to property which I may suffer while renting this kayak and participating in kayaking. This discharge specifically includes, but is not limited to, liability or claims for injury, illness, death or damage caused by the negligence of Wolastoq Cycling & Repair or its officers, agents, or employees. It is my intent by the Waiver and Release Agreement to release Wolastoq Cycling & Repair and hold it harmless from all liability for any such property loss or damage, personal injury or loss of life, whether caused by the negligence of Wolastoq Cycling & Repair or whether based upon breach of contract, breach of warranty, or any other legal theory. In signing this document, I fully recognize that if injury, illness, death or damage occurs to me while I am engaged in renting this kayak or participating in kayaking, I will have no right to make a claim or file a lawsuit against Wolastoq Cycling & Repair or its officers, agents or employees, even if they or any of them negligently cause my injury, illness, death or damage.
